Resource Requirements Planning
Resource Requirements Planning involves analysis of available resource capacity to meet the demands of projects as laid out in the project planning process. To view a resource plan, a user can run variations of the Resource Planning Report. The Resource Planning report can be viewed by Resource Group or by Project Manager in both monthly and weekly buckets.
Procedure
- Navigate to Resources / Resource Planning/ Reports
- Select Report Grouping (Project Manager, Resource Group)
- Select Time Period (Weekly or Monthly)
Note
Over capacity conditions will be highlighted in Red. The report includes drill down to the related projects, where the user can address over capacity conditions by rescheduling projects. Over capacity conditions can also be addressed by increasing available resource capacity
